Jon Mitchell finishes 12th in Cow Patty 50 at Old No. 1 Speedway

Friday night saw Jon Mitchell return with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) for the Cow Patty 50. In a field of 26 cars, Jon posted a third place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Losing two spots in the 40-lap affair, Jon notched a 12th-place finish.

The following night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) for the fifth annual Will McGary Memorial, Mitchell recorded the second fastest time in his qualifying group before placing second in his heat behind Scott Crigler. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Jon was an early exit from the 40-lap affair on lap 15. (B Young Photography)
